Meeting Simulator

Like a flight simulator ...

When people hear the word simulator, they usually think of flight simulators for pilots to learn how to fly airplanes. A flight simulator is a large machine that is built around an airplane cockpit. Pilot trainees can practice flying without fear of making mistakes. A pilot is guaranteed to pull through any flight in a flight simulator (that is, "walk away" from a simulated "crash") and have the opportunity to learn from mistakes.

RRIM lets you simulate meetings

RRIM's meeting simulator is a lot like a flight simulator, as you will see in the RRIM features overview. RRIM lets you practice parliamentary procedure just like a pilot trainee practices in a flight simulator: you practice like you're at a meeting - without the fear of making embarrassing mistakes - but you feel like you're at a meeting.

"Interactive" means "choices"

RRIM is interactive so you can decide what's going to happen next at a meeting, and to determine the results of the meeting. It's interactive in that you get to choose.

For example, if you want to practice the motion to Amend, whether primary or secondary, you simply choose to make a motion to Amend, and then you choose whether to adopt or reject it. If you want to see what happens if a member of an assembly raises an Objection to the Consideration of a motion, or if the chair rules the motion out of order, or how to deal with Appeals, you can try all of that.

Whichever way you want your meeting to go, you can choose.

You can practice on your own

The phrase practice makes perfect now rings true when it comes to learning parliamentary procedure with RRIM. RRIM's state of the art meeting simulator lets you practice parliamentary procedure as much as you need at home. Then watch your confidence grow when you attend actual meetings.
